2022–23 IMPACT REPORT
Reporting on the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2023

Dear Meany Friends,

This is a time of change — in the arts and in the world — and Meany embraced the challenge, taking chances on new voices, new works, and new perspectives. What didn’t change is our commitment to serving our campus and our community by championing live performing arts that inspire and connect us.

Leading choreographer Bill T. Jones joined Meany as our first guest Artistic Partner, with Becoming: At Home in the World, based on his deep interest in what it takes to be a well-rounded citizen of the world. Bill curated five cutting edge artists that radically broadened the scope of our programming and were inclusive and unapologetic in their call for social justice. 

We fulfilled our promise to reschedule the innovative artists we had to cancel in the 2019–20 and 2020–21 Seasons: Ragamala Dance Company, Camille A. Brown and Dancers, Step Afrika!, Cuarteto Latinoamericano and Strings for Peace. 

Most importantly, we connected even more deeply with you, and we are so grateful for everything you made possible last season — and every season. Thank you for your support and for being an integral part of the Meany family.
